Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the freedom and all the heroes who paid the price for that freedom. So I want to personally thank all veterans out there who have served in the military and protected America. Thank You!!!! Thank You !!! Gob Bless You All !!!!
This is one of my favorite patriotic songs “God Bless the USA’ by Lee Greenwood. This song is so soulful but yet partriotic. I like this oldie song from the 50’s “When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again.” It’s a sing-a-long fun partriotic song.
Also I enjoy performing patriotic songs too. These are on my songlist: America the Beautiful; The Star Spangled Banner; Battle Hymn of the Republic; and American Triology.
Remember to thank a Veteran for serving America. I declare the month of November as Veterans Month!!! This Veterans Month declaration will compliment the Thanksgiving Holiday celebration too.
Let me hear some of your thoughts about patriotic songs.
Watch out for my next big annoucement coming soon!!!

There is magic in music. If you get the right song in your mind and heart, you will have a positive reaction.
Some benefits of music are:
- Music can lift your spirit.
- Music can relax your body.
- Music can help you sleep.
- Music can cause excitement.
- Music is a good companion.
- Music can increase productivity.
I enjoy music, especially singing and playing the piano. I thank God for my musical talent.
Do you know that Albert Einstein and Harry Truman played the piano?

The old song “Autumn Leaves” was one of my Grandmother’s favorite songs. I remember she would ask me to play it on the piano while she sang the song. I enjoy old songs. Another favorite old song is “You Ain’t Nothing But A Hound Dog.” Deviating from the old songs theme, now there is a new movie coming out in theaters named “You Ain’t Nothing But A Hound Dog.”
Also, I do enjoy old gospel songs too. Here are some of my favorites: “Beyond the Sunset” ; “Walk Those Golden Stairs; “Down From His Glory; “When They Ring Those Golden Bells; ” plus “Just A Little Talk With Jesus. ” Share with me some of your favorite oldies.
Let’s remember our wonderful country. Pray for our leaders to have new wisdom in dealing with difficult times. As Tavis Smiley says “Keep the faith.”

This past weekend was a time to relax . Most of all, I really enjoyed visiting with my friends and fellow musicians at the Rincon Christian Church. It was my pleasure to offer a special rendition of the old hymn “Just A Little Talk With Jesus.”
